As long as this star is included in the sketch along with another one as bright or brighter, then there could be a supernova there. The galaxy is centered at: 9 50 22.15 +72 16 44.3 (2000, 2MASS), while the superposed star is at 9 50 35.16 +72 16 40.9 (also 2MASS), which is GSC 4386-0321. \Brian
