OK - I have derived the V magnitude and colors of the star now labeled
number 6 on my chart at
http://vsnet.astro.washington.edu/kevin/apo.html
That star, just north of the galaxy, is a better one to use than
numbers 4 and 5 (which are further away and more likely to be off the
chip).
For number 6 I get (with internal errors)
V +/- B-V +/- V-R +/- V-I +/-
12.796 0.004 0.672 0.011 0.430 0.005 0.783 0.004
_______________
Yesterday morning I got some good frames on 2000cx. This SN was
really found before maximum. You recall that I measured it at V = 14.00
and 13.82 on July 19 and 20 UT. Yesterday (July 27 UT) it was
JD V +/- B-V V-R V-I
752.8828 13.279 0.004 0.146 0.009 -0.126 0.005 -0.414 0.006
How curious that the B-V color is not changing. There is a chance
I can get IR data on it this Sunday morning with APO.
Kevin
(Brian - please derive the coords of star 6. Thanks.)
