Date: Sat, 23 Aug 2003 12:16:12 -0400 From: "W.Liller" <wliller@compuserve.com> Subject: Tabur's star Hola all - I have these observations* of Tabur's star to report: Aug 22.0085 = 'JD 2873.5085 V = 9.91 +/- 0.02 Aug 22.0087 = 'JD 2873.5087 B = 11.16 +/- 0.05 Aug 22.996 = 'JD 2874.496 R = 9.3 +/- 0.1 based on two red photographs. Thus, B-V = 1.25 which supports Della Valle's conclusion that Tabur's star is a post-asymptotic-giant-branch star in flare-up -- or something similar. No emission lines could be detected on a weakly exposed objective prism spectrum taken in the red on August 22.0181.
