Subject: Tabur's star

Hola all -

I have these observations* of Tabur's star to report:

Aug 22.0085 = 'JD 2873.5085 V = 9.91 +/- 0.02
Aug 22.0087 = 'JD 2873.5087 B = 11.16 +/- 0.05

Aug 22.996 = 'JD 2874.496 R = 9.3 +/- 0.1 based on two red
photographs.

Thus, B-V = 1.25 which supports Della Valle's conclusion that Tabur's star
is a post-asymptotic-giant-branch star in flare-up -- or something similar.

No emission lines could be detected on a weakly exposed objective prism
spectrum taken in the red on August 22.0181.

All the best, Bill Liller

*Comparison stars: GSC 8975 - 581, -725, -859, -979, -1385, and -1567.
