V1178 Sco = Nova Sco 2001

   According to IAUC No. 7650, this presumable nova has given a permanent
GCVS name of V1178 Sco (please note that the object is not a "novalike"
object as described in IAUC, but a presumable nova, which is on its way
to spectroscopic confirmation).

   Please use this designation V1178 Sco (or SCOV1178 in the VSNET reporting
format) for future reporting.
