This star is the 14.5-mag star Takamizawa noted. The scale on his films was not enough to separate them, but he noted that the 14.5-mag star was never observed as bright as 14 mag on his previous films. The star is recorded by 2MASS survey, which gives J=12.50, H=11.75, Ks=11.51, not particularly red among neibouring stars. This color certainly excludes a Mira-type variable. Regards, Taichi Kato
