PU CMa: more definite superhumps! Dear Colleagues, We have received the third night data from Roland Santallo, which show the superhumps with the highest quality ever obtained. The amplitude of the superhumps was 0.15 mag, which may suggest a growth of the superhump amplitude. An analysis the combined data set has yielded a superhump period of 0.05799(3) d. The fractional superhump excess for this period is 2.3%. The period, however, is still variable depending on the selected data segment. An analysis of the later runs has yielded a smaller period (excess 1%), but it is definitely longer than the orbital period. The true period probably lies somewhere between these values. Further observations, however short the runs may be, will be very helpful! Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET Collaboration team
