Dear colleagues, I have just published on my web site (www.cbabelgium.com) my OU Vir observations and light curves, obtained on May 6/7 and May 7/8, 2003. The May 6/7 session lasted for 2.6 hours and resulted in a rather complex modulation, because of the superposition of superhump maxima and eclipses. An eclipse was predicted to occur around JD 2766.470 and is fairly easy to recognize in the light curve. The subsequent one, on JD 2766.543, is much more difficult to distinguish. The night of May 7/8 was clear again, and allowed me to monitor OU Vir for about 4.0 hours under relatively good atmospheric conditions. This time, 3 eclipses were recorded in full detail. For those of you with an interest in planetary transits : I also posted on my web site a number of images of the Mercury transit from May 7th, 2003. I didn't attempt photometry to find the corresponding drop in the Sun's magnitude ;-). Right now, weather is hesitating between clearing out or staying overcast. In the former case, OU Vir will again become my primary target. Best regards, Tonny Vanmunster CBA Belgium Observatory www.cbabelgium.com
