BC UMa late superhumps Dear Colleagues, We have received new data from Jochen Pietz (two nights), Ouda Station (Uemura-san, two nights) during the rapid decline stage. The Kyoto team (Ishioka-san) and Torii-san (RIKEN) also covered the decline phase, which will be incorporated in later analyses. A preliminary analysis of the Feb. 13-14 data has revealed the presence of humps. There was a main hump with an amplitude of 0.3 mag and a smaller hump at phase 0.5, suggesting that the profile is a combination of superhumps and late superhumps. The profile of the superhumps during the rapid decline stage is posted at: http://vsnet.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/pub/vsnet/DNe/BC_UMa/bclate.gif The object is expected to rebrighten, as in the 2000 superoutburst. Please keep your close watch! Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET Collaboration team
