[vsnet-campaign-dn 3420] XZ Eri observation from Berto Monard and Lew Cook

XZ Eri observation from Berto Monard and Lew Cook

Dear Colleagues,

We have received new data of XZ Eri from Berto Monard and Lew Cook.
Berto's data on Feb. 6 have confirmed the fading, but the light curve was
not associated with a rapidly fading trend. Sharp eclipses (about 1 mag
deep) were clearly recorded. Lew Cook's data on Feb. 7 recorded an
average magnitude of 17.3. Although the fading apparently continues,
the fading rate looks to be smaller than those of SU UMa stars with
similar periods. The present fading thus may be a transient phenomenon,
and the object may be bright again within some days. Please keep watching!
