[vsnet-campaign-dn 2696] V2276 Sgr (rare?) outburst
V2276 Sgr (rare?) outburst
Rod Stubbings has reported that the dwarf nova V2276 Sgr is undergoing
a outburst. The last reported outburst dates back to 1998, suggesting
a low freqency of outbursts. Judging from the outburst amplitude (using
the proposed quiescent candidate), the object may be a short-period system
such as an SU UMa-type star. Close time-series CCD observations are very
strongly encouraged. Please also send selected CCD images (FITS format)
to Yamaoka-san (yamaoka@rc.kyushu-u.ac.jp) to make accurate outburst
astrometry and quiescent identification. Good luck!
