V359 Cen superhump period change

Dear Colleagues,

   Based on these observations, we can now safely conclude that the superhump
period of V359 Cen decreased at least during the early part of this
superoutburst.  The inferred period change is rather large (an ourder of
10^-4), which may suggest that the superhumps underwent a stage of rapid
evolution during the past few days.  Further observations to measure
additional superhumps maxima are absolutely necessary to clarify the
nature of the presently observed period chnage.
