For those who might be interested, since it was noted that
this star has high proper motion, the current (2002.356) position
for GP Com is
  13:05:42.35  +18:01:03.9  J2000
with external errors under 100mas (UCAC2).
The finding chart given in the on-line CV catalog:
  http://icarus.stsci.edu/~downes/cvcat/
is based on a POSS-II image and is pretty close to the
appearance of the current field.  On 020511.357 UT, the
variable was at V=16.09, (B-V) = -0.05.
