Dear colleagues, I have just finished analysing my first observing run (unfiltered CCD photometry) of HV Vir. The observations were obtained on January 08/09, 2002, during a 4.4 hours run, using the 0.35-m f/6.3 SCT and ST-7 CCD (unfiltered) of CBA Belgium Observatory. Sky conditions were very good. The resulting light curve shows genuine superhumps with an amplitude of 0.26 mag. Using the PDM technique, I obtained a superhump period of 0.0582 +/- 0.0001 d, which is in good agreement with intermediate results published by the VSNET Collaboration Team. Have a look at my web site for further details ! Right now, the sky is extremely clear again, and with a little luck, it will stay like that for the remainder of the night. I expect to have another CCD photometry session on HV Vir, that will last for about 4 hours. After tonight, the weather forecast is returning to the typical January patterns for Belgium, i.e. clouds and rain.
