[vsnet-campaign-dn 1786] SDSS J1730: possible period shortening

We performed two hours observations of this new SU UMa star at Kyoto
last night (October 25). The light curve shows a clear hump with an
amplitude of 0.15-0.20 mag, no major growth/fading is not seen.
The profile is almost same as those on October 23 and 24, but its
ascending part looks more gradual. No major short-term oscillation
is not detected in the last night light curve.

Period analysis of all data sets yields 0.079196 (41) d.
We reported the period of 0.07898 (13) in [vsnet-campaign-dn 1779]
and 0.079408 (52) d in [vsnet-campaign-dn 1781], which means the
superhump period is possibly shortening with time. More time-series
observations will give us a chance to determine the period changing
rate and the nature of this object.

Makoto Uemura
