[vsnet-campaign-be 266] V1294 Aql photometry
>>Thom: In case I get the chance to do some PEP on this star, do you have
any recommendations on bright comp stars?
Doug,
These are nearby stars with magnitudes from the Hipparcos Catalogue:
HD 183265 V= 7.33, B= 7.35
HD 183919 V= 7.45, B= 7.50
HD 184571 V= 7.60, B= 8.09
I used them to make my visual estimates.
My results ended up being systematically 0.09 mag. fainter than V according
to ASAS-3. Probably I got excited when I saw the fading. ;-))
So the star hasn't broken its V= 7.51 record yet. It was 7.48V and still
fading yesterday.
Thom's observation also agrees with that.
These are the latest results:
2893.524 7.55 OSE
2893.681 7.463 V ASAS-3
2895.639 7.472 V ASAS-3
2896.706 7.45 V GANDET
2896.497 7.57 OSE
2897.650 7.480 V ASAS-3
I have uploaded a lightcurve at:

There is a chart at:

Sebastian.
