[vsnet-be 17] V862 Outburst Refs

The original Bakos V862 Sco = HD 160202 ref. appears to be in the
following book:

1967 BAKOS NON PERIODIC PHENOMENA VARIABLE STARS ED DETRE REIDEL 1967

unfortunately no page number is given.

Another reference [besides the S&T one from an earlier post by Taichi
Kato] for comments on this star by G A Bakos is:

Commumications of the Konkoly Observatory, No. 65 (Vol. VI, 1), p.
159-160 (1969)

Meanwhile, an abstract search using Bakos as author gives this for HD
160202 in 1985 [but unfortunately no archived article]:

> Light variations of the B-type star HD 160202 in the galactic cluster M6 are presented. A flare type
> increase in brightness by about three magnitudes in a time interval of 40 minutes was recorded. It is

> flare type increase in brightness in a time interval of three years. Similar cases associated with B-type

> observations presented here show a flare-type event with a resolution of five minutes.

The note of rapid flaring further biases me towards a compact companion,
though Bakos evidently sees it as some kind of flare star.
