AK Cnc? Possibly new object? outburst
Following the report of the outburst of AK Cnc by R. Stubbings in
[vsnet-outburst 5251], we, the Kyoto team, started observation of AK
Cnc at Feb. 23, 14:20 (UT). We have then found an outbursting object,
but the position is not that of AK Cnc. See the following gif image.
http://vsnet.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/pub/vsnet/DNe/AK_Cnc/akcnctmp.gif
The object is about 13.5mag, but is the marked object AK Cnc?
Confirmation is urgently needed.
There is 19th mag USNO stars near the object
It may be a new eruptive object.
Regards,
Makoto Uemura, Ryoko Ishioka
