Date: Sun, 27 Oct 2002 09:30:43 -0500
From: "W.Liller" <wliller@compuserve.com>
Subject: Nova Sgr4?

Hola everyone -

The nova candidate reported to me by Brian Skiff had, according to my CCD
measurements through clouds, a broadband V mag of 9.98 +/- 0.7 at Oct.
27.0149 U.T. My position for it is (2000) R.A. 17h 47m 21.629s +/- 0.047s
and Dec. -23d 28' 21.44" +/- 0.39". Three Tycho stars were used for the
photometry; these plus three GSC stars were used for the astrometry.

I'll try for a spectrum tonight; the weather might even be clear by then.

All the best to all, Bill/William
