RX J0558.3+6735: long-period SU UMa star?
Dear Colleagus,
We have finished analyzing the Kyoto data (observers: M. Uemura and
R. Ishioka) taken on Apr. 1. Two apparent humps were detected during the
3-hour run. If this feature is genuine superhumps, this object can be
a long period (~0.09 d) SU UMa-type dwarf nova. Since this period is
near or within the famous period gap, further confirmatiry observations
and long time-series observations are strongly encouraged. More detailed
analysis will be later reported by Uemura-san or Ishioka-san.
Please be sure to report observations to Uemura-san and Ishioka-san
(uemura@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp, ishioka@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp) in order
to minimize the delay of data analysis.
Regards,
Taichi Kato
