Last nite I caught U GEM in the early phase of an outburst. Early in the
evening I noticed it slightly brighter than its normal quiescent maximum,
so I followup with a later observation. Then, it was clearly brighter near
mag 13.0 and showing short-term oscillations of 0.1-0.2 mag on the order
of a minute or so. My estimates were more like the peaks of those
oscillations.
