Possible Nova in Monoceros
The object discovered by N. J. Brown, reported by T. Iijima via T. Kato, is
not seen on CCD images (broadband red, RG-1 filter, limiting magnitude about
12) taken by the University of Illinois Stardial camera (PASP 109, 1264) on
2001 Dec 22.284, 24.279 and 26.273. The object is detected on subsequent
images, with red magnitudes as follows:
