HV Vir outburst confirmed and CCD observations

Dear Colleagues,

    The extremely rare outburst of HV Vir, detected by Patrick Schmeer,
has been confirmed by various observers.  The reported magnitude is
around 12.9, and possibly slowly rising.  Several observers have successfully
started CCD time-series photometry, Torii-san (RIKEN), Kyoto (Ishioka-san),
and G. Masi.

    In order to avoid an excessive traffic in vsnet-alert, please use
the dedicated list vsnet-campaign-hvvir@ooruri.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp
for regular reports, information and commnications.  Any dramatic changes,
remarkable findings (and infrequent summaries) can be posted to vsnet-alert.

    The campaign coordinator at Kyoto is Ishioka-san and co-investigators
(M. Uemura and T. Kato).  Personal correspondence should be directed to
the above three members in order to avoid any delay in communication.
