CI UMa: detection of superhumps
Dear Colleagues,
The analysis of the Kyoto Oct. 31 observation (M. Uemura and R. Ishioka)
revealed the clear presence of 0.3 mag superhumps. The present outburst
is confirmed to be a genuine superoutburst. A period of 0.0630(9) d has
been estimated. This observation confirmed the short-period nature of
CI UMa, as originally reported by Nogami and Kato (1997, PASJ 49, 109).
Further refinement of the period is expected.
