Dear Toni,

   This is apprently *not* a vsnet-alert thing.  What you should do before
posting such a query is to consult the catalog of variable stars.
If you don't have one, please download from any available site (Sternberg,
CDS etc.)  You should also learn red stars can be recorded brighter on some
emulsions or CCDs.

   And you should be more careful in making a too hasty (and mostly spurious)
report.
