Last night's [2001 Sept 16.9] updated spectra for V2274 Cyg [Nova Cyg#1'01],V2275 Cyg [Nova Cyg#2'01] and V4740 Sgr [Nova Sgr#3'01] are posted at the website below. All this summer's [6] novae appear to have unique spectra but with the common features of H-alpha/beta in emission. V4740 Sgr has settled down to a classic novae spectrum profile with H-alpha absent at discovery now dominating as it fades. V2274 Cyg, now two months since discovery, has faded to ~mag 16v [VSNET] but the H-alpha emission still recordable. It will be interesting if any of these novae reveal, within the next 12 months, dominant 'planetary lines' of OIII like V1494 Aql [Alfredo Pereira's Nova Aquila#2'99] also posted below.
