Dear colleagues,
I had a short observing session on WZ Sge last night (Aug 31 / Sep 01),
between 31.81 UT and 31.90 UT (before clouds completely covered the sky).
The resulting light curve shows another very steep brightening of WZ Sge, as
predicted by Kato-san in [vsnet-campaign-dn 1456], by 0.41 mag in almost 2.2
hours. I'm not sure how long this brightening trend has continued (I hope
others have been more successful in their observing run last night), but it
must have been very spectacular !
There were furthermore some dips and humps in the rising trend of the
variable, but I haven't further analysed this yet. I will make the light
curve available on my web site, later this evening.
