[vsnet-alert 6479] AS 270 Bright Outburst !

The symbiotic star AS 270 in Sgr (J2000.0 = 18h 05m 33.6s, -20 20' 39") is
currently undergoing a very bright outburst ! I had previously observed
this star back on June 18, 2001 UT at V= 14.31. My recent photometry shows:

Photometry based on GSC 6259.0483 with Tycho-2 VT= 11.01 and B-V ~ +0.2.
