WZ Sge: emergence of true superhumps?
Dear Colleagues,
The analysis of the combined data of the later half of August 1 data
(Kyoto, Masi and Mailia, Pietz; 4245 points up to now) shows the period
of 0.05677 +/- 0.00005 d, which is marginally longer than the orbital
period. Together with the appearnce of more solid hump profile,
and the presence of a small phase shift of maxima, we may be indeed
witnessing the early emergence of "true" superhumps. Follow-up
observations are naturally most urgently needed!
Regards,
Taichi Kato
