I note that the mag. 8.5 star HD 191083, within 3' of WZ Sge, has
been used traditionally by observers in the scientific literature.
Krzemenski & Kraft obtained several nights of UBV photometry on the
standard system (1964ApJ...140..921K), yielding: V = 8.76, B-V = 0.16,
and U-B = 0.13. This corresponds to an unreddened star of type A5; the
HD type is A2, in reasonable agreement. The expected R magnitude would
be R = 8.64.
