Dear all, >I performed astrometry of the source with the following result: > >V589 HER >R.A:16 22 07.15, Decl.: +19 22 37.2 (J2000.0) > >8 reference stars from USNO A2.0; mean residuals: 0.25" > >Dr. Yamaoka will be performing independent astrometry of some images >of mine and will be informing us about his results. My measurement: 16:22:07.164, +19:22:36.91 (J2000.0) avarage of 4 images taken by Gianluca, using 23-24 GSC-ACT stars. It is quite likely that a USNO-A2.0 star (position end figures 07s.150, 37".42, rmag = 17.3, bmag = 17.4) is a quiesient counterpart of V589 Her. Note that DSS2 R image shows a dim (rmag \sim 19.0) star about 2" southwest of this USNO star. Sincerely Yours, Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan yamaoka@rc.kyushu-u.ac.jp
