[vsnet-alert 5768] HV Vir in Outburst

All

As pointed out by Patrick Schmeer, it appears that I may have been observing the
minor planet 264 Libussa which was very close to the position of HV Vir at the
time of my observations. I have made follow up observations over the last hour
and have yet to detect any motion. However if the brightness of the minor
planet is around 13.3, then this is the object that I have been observing. I
must admit that I thought it slightly odd that the posiiton of the object was
very slightly different from HV Vir's position as shown on the RASNZ VSS chart,
but thought that the chart may have been slightly in error.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank Patrick for
pointing this out. These pesky asteroids!!
