Nova Sgr 2001: independent detection and prediscovery records by H. Nishimura Hideo Nishimura (Kakegawa, Shizuoka, Japan) has reported he had detected the presence of the object on two photographs taken on Feb. 24 (see below for the details). The object was barely seen at the limit of detection on two photographs taken on Feb. 17.831 and 17.833 UT.
