UV Per rebrightening observation
Dear Colleagues,
Preliminary analysis of the UV Per data on Jan. 12 shows a rapid, smooth
fading. The rate of decline amounts to 1.7 mag/d, which is one of the
fastest time-scales observed in UV Per. There is no evidence of large-
amplitude superhumps. All above findings suggest that the present
rebrightening is "normal outburst"-type. Since such outbursts can repeat,
(see http://vsnet.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/vsnet/DNe/egcnc.html ),
continued observation is strongly recommended.
More detailed analysis, including superhump analysis, will be undertaken
by Ishioka-san and Iwamatsu-san et al.
Regards,
VSNET Collaboration team
