I hope this instance of a poor offset position for the SN will
encourage folks to both measure and report positions for the nuclei of
host galaxies as well as for the SNe. If it was Dan Green who determined
the offset using only the rough position, well, he should know better.
The best available position for the center of ESO 205-G11, by the way,
is from Bill Gray's revised GSC-ACT: 5 57 41.37 -51 58 13.1 (2000), where
the 1-sigma uncertainty is about 0".4. This is some 8" from the NED
position, which is listed with a 2.5-sigma uncertainty of 8".
