Subject: Possible Nova of Odd Trondal
Hi,
we have searched the presence of the possible Nova in M31 claimed by Odd
Trondal at coordinates: R.A. 00h 43m 56s, Decl. = +41d 28' (Equinox 2000.0) on
the reference image dr. Korado Korlevic (Visnjan Observatory) has kindly send
us yesterday evening, for confirmation of the previous object detected by us
at coordinates R.A. = 00h 42m 57.2s, Decl. = +41d 07' 18" (Equinox 2000.0).
There is a stellar source at the given position. In the image of Korado, it
seems to be brighter than in the discovery image of Odd Trondal. Our unfiltered
CCD magnitude estimation gives for it 17.5.
Regards,
Giovanni Sostero and Luca Donato (Remanzacco Observatory)
(The image will be posted to vsnet-image.)
