LY Hya rare outburst
The SU UMa-type candidate LY Hya is undergoing a relatively rare
outburst as reported by Rod Stubbings. The last reported outburst occurred
in 2000 April (CCD magnitude 16.0, Schmeer), which faded rapidly.
   2000 Aug. 31.456 <14.0
        Sep. 2.384 14.0
During the 1998 April outburst, S. Vrielmann reported possible detection
of superhumps. However, since this outburst faded rather rapidly,
independent confirmation is still needed.

Since the object is visibile for very short time in the evening, the
present outburst is selected as a potential campaign target. Though
it will be difficult to get time-series data, nightly snapshots to
follow the outburst are still highly encouraged.
