Dear colleagues,
The variable FBS 2351+228 = NSV 26158 = Peg 7, located at RA = 23h53m51.02s and Decl = +23d09'19.5" (J2000.0), and classified as a possible symbiotic star with a spectrum resembling a recurrent nova, apparently is undergoing one of its brightest outbursts ever. In quiescence / faint state, the object is around mag 16. Our observation :
2000 08 09.067 UT, mag 13.9 (unfiltered CCD, 0.35-m f/6.3 SCT)
Follow-up observations are encouraged.
