[vsnet-alert 5167] V730 Sgr Apparent Outburst

The suspected UG star V730 Sgr (vsnet-gcvs 16, 09 July 2000) appears to be
in outburst as follows :

STAR YYMMDD(UT)	MAG	OBSERVER

SGRV730	20000728.47	<145	WPX
SGRV730	20000730.43	<145	WPX
SGRV730	20000802.45	<140	WPX
SGRV730	20000804.4625	136	WPX
SGRV730	20000804.4777	136	WPX

Above magnitudes are eyeball approximate as I have no reliable values for
this field. GSC mags appear to be about one magnitude too faint.

The star in outburst may be identical with GSC 6887:83 (GSC mag 15.2) and
according to The Sky software lies some 18 arcsec west of GSC 6887:84 (GSC
mag 14.0) but which has an eyeball magnitude closer to 13.0. If correct,
this places the variable about 23 arcsec south of its catalogue position.

Confirmation requested.
