V344 Pav rare outburst Rod Stubbings reports that the dwarf nova V344 Pav is undergoing a rare outburst. The last reported outburst occurred in 1999 September - October, whose fading trend closely resembled that of a superoutburst of an SU UMa-type dwarf nova. The large outburst amplitude (more than 6 mag) also supports this possibility. Time-series photometry during the present outburst is strongly recommended. The object is thus brought into the timely vsnet-campaign target. YYYYMMDD(UT) mag observer 20000519.868 <145 (A. Pearce) 20000520.785 <147 (A. Pearce) 20000525.841 <152 (A.
