Dear colleagues,
We have received an interesting CBA set of RXJ1450.5+6403 observations, obtained by Jonathan Kemp at the 1.3-m telescope of MDM Observatory on 2000, May 18/19, using a V filter and 15s exposures. These high quality data reveal a slightly increased superhump period of 0.0606 d +/- 0.0005 d (PDM method) and the existence of very prominent super quasi-periodic oscillations (super QPO's), superimposed on the descending branch of the superhumps. This also confirms the announcement by Taichi Kato in VSNET-CAMPAIGN 83 (based on observations of Rudolf Novak).
RXJ1450.5+6403 is now entering a highly interesting phase of its outburst, and therefore should get all possible attention from time-series photometry observers.
With kind regards,
Tonny Vanmunster (CBA-Belgium)
Dave Skillman (CBA-Maryland)
Bob Fried (CBA-Braeside Observatory)
Jonathan Jemp (MDM Observatory)
