CI Aql run at Kyoto
The Kyoto team (Matsumoto Katsura, Makoto Uemura, Taichi Kato) took
a 3.2-hour time series (5.68-5.81 UT) on CI Aql around the expected primary
minimum. The object showed a rather flat minimum around the start of the
run, then rose by ~0.1 mag until the end of the run. Such a large-amplitude
variation has only been recorded in the Apr. 29 run by S. Kiyota. The
present variablity may be related to the eclipse light variation with a
broad, shallow minimum. A relatively large phase offset would be necessary
if the observed minimum reflects the eclipse. Multi-longitude, long runs
are requested in order to check whether the light variation is caused by
the eclipse or intrinsic variation. We also encourage time-resolved
photometry even outside predicted eclipses.
