CI Aql (Liller) resend Date: Tue, 2 May 2000 19:38:48 -0400 From: "W.Liller" <wliller@compuserve.com> Subject: CI Aql Greetings all; On May 2.3614 UT, I measured the broadband V magnitude of the nova to be 8.57 +/- 0.05. Note again that the strong H-alpha emission line is included in this passband, and that this magnitude is 0.3-0.4 magnitudes brighter than it was two nights ago. A thorough search of the 217 photographs of the region dating back to Oct. 1983 reveals no re-occurrence of the nova. The limiting orange-red magnitude of my films is typically 11.0 The most recent photographs were taken on April 4.333 UT when its magnitude was fainter than ~11.0 and on Apr. 28.260 UT (pre-discovery) when its magnitude was 9.8 (see IAUC 7411).
