Dear Colleagues:
The past 2 nights seemed to show a slightly different shape to the
light curve in XTE J1118+480. The shape of the curve seems to be
slower on the declining branch of the curve and the rise to maximum
is steeper. No evidence of a different period other than the 0.17085
day period reported in the good summary by Joe Patterson (at
http://keats.astro.bio2.edu/cba/results/xte1118+48/ ).
I have posted a 2 cycle (repeated) phase diagram of 2 nights data -
Apr. 29 and 30, 2000 on
http://vsnet.lewcook.com/xte1118.htm
Figure 15 shows the latest phase diagram.
=====
Regards, Lew
=== IMPROVED! Lew's instant automatic observation plotter now
reports maximum and minimum values, averages and standard
deviations. Copy a list of observations into Autoplot.xls and
they are automatically plotted. Autoplot.xls (an Excel
spreadsheet) is freeware.
