Cheers, Weidong ---------------------------------------- SN 2000XXX in UGC 10710 M. Papenkova and W. D. Li, University of California at Berkeley, on behalf of the Lick Observatory Supernova Search (cf. IAUC 6627, 7126) with the 0.8-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT), report the discovery of an apparent supernova in UGC 10710. The new object was discovered and confirmed on unfiltered images taken on Apr 19.5 UT and Apr 20.3 UT, both with magnitude about 17.7. The new object is located at R.A.=17h06m54s.67, Decl.= +43 6'41".7 (equinox 2000.0), which is 23".9 east and 38".0 south of the nucleus of UGC 10710. An unfiltered image on Apr 8.5 UT showed nothing at the position of the new object (limiting mag about 19.0).
