EK TrA bright outburst The SU UMa-type dwarf nova EK TrA is undergoing a bright outburst (relatively rare) as reported by Rod Stubbings. The latest repored outburst (normal outburst) occurred in 1999 Feb (mv=11.5, Stubbings). The star showed a well-defined superoutburst in 1997 July with a remarkable precursor outburst (J. Hers and B. Monard). More observations during the present outburst are strongly encouraged. YYYYMMDD(UT) mag observer 20000129.814 <150 (A. Pearce) 20000201.804 <150 (A. Pearce) 20000202.788 <152 (A.
