[vsnet-alert 4363] Possible SN in Ngc 4965

"POSSIBLE SUPER NOVA IN NGC 4965

       R. Chassagne (Sainte Clotilde, Reunion Island), F. Colas 
(Pic du Midi observatory) report the discovery of an apparent supernova 
(unfiltered photometry : mag 14.1)  on CCD images taken at Ste Clotilde 
observatory 0.305-m telescope by R. Chassagne on  March 8.03. SN 2000 XX 
is located at R.A. = 13h07m9s.34, Decl = -28d13'41".71 (J2000), which is 
16" Est and 21" south of NGC 4965. SN 2000 XX was confirmed (R mag = 14.5)
with the 1.05-m telescope at pic du midi observatory on March 9.12. The
star does not appear on Digital Sky Survey (limiting magnitude about 21)."
