SW UMa: super-QPOs during rapid decline
In the light curve on March 1st and 2nd we discovered
super-QPOs on the prominent superhumps.
The super-QPOs are clearly seen, in particular, on March 1st
and they have the period of about 10min. We can see more complicated
profile of humps and super-QPOs in the light curve on March 2nd.
The light curve on March 1st can be seen at the VSNET SW UMa page:
http://vsnet.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/vsnet/DNe/swuma00.html
The super-QPOs have been seen only in the very early stage of the
superoutburst before this discovery. We can get more information
about the nature of the super-QPOs through the tonight and next night
observations. Unfortunately, the weather will become worse tonight
in Kyoto. The follow-up observations are strongly urged.
