[vsnet-alert 4286] Antipin's Var64 in outburst

Var64 (UG)

CAMVar64 20000227.166 144C Scp
CAMVAR64 20000227.166 144C Scp
Sequence: USNO-A2.0 (red magnitudes)
Instrument: IRO (0.5-m RCT + AP-8)

On all my other IRO images of Var64 the dwarf nova is visible at quiescence
(mag 17-18).

Accurate position from my outburst image (relative to GSC stars):
R.A. 03h21m14.35s Decl. +61o05'26.1" (J2000.0)

USNO-A2.0 data for Var64: 032114.415 +610525.73 (2000.0) 18.6 18.7

Since Sergei Antipin's discovery announcement of his Variable No. 64 (IBVS
4673) only one other outburst has been recorded. It was detected by Jochen
Pietz on 1998 Sept. 23.91 UT at mv= 14.7 (vsnet-alert 2218).

Time-resolved photometry during the current outburst is strongly recommended.

Regards,
Patrick

[vsnet-alert 2247] Var64 Cam (Antipin)

Date: Mon, 28 Sep 1998 19:59:07 +0900 (JST)

Dear Dr. Kato,
Dear colleagues,

The accurate position of Var64 Cam on our plate
(in outburst, JD2442719) is 3 21 14.33 +61 05 26.0 (J2000).
The coordinates were measured relative to 18 neighbouring
GSC stars, the accuracy is about p/m 0.3 arcsec.
So I think that the variable is equal to the USNO object at
3 21 14.41 +61 05 25.7 (J2000).

Yours sincerely,
Sergei Antipin

[vsnet-alert 2232] Var64 Cam (was Var62? Cam) short-term variation?

Date: Fri, 25 Sep 1998 21:57:45 +0900 (JST)

Timo Kinnunen reports the likely short-term variation in the outbursting
dwarf nova Var64 Cam. The reported variability may be an indication of
superhumps. Time-resolved CCD photometry is encouraged.
