Hi, Thanks for the assist on the position of EP Car. I'm still not certain of the exact identity but it's one of three stars all within 10" of each other which range from about 16 to 18 in unfiltered light. If EP is the brightest it's probably fainter than 16 at present. Too faint for me and this indicates a short outburst with any modulation unlikely. It could, of course, be a precursor to a superoutburst if we're very lucky. I'll look again later. Particular thanks to Rod for the chart. I used to eyeball these things once and had forgotten how faint and crowded some of these fields are!
