Hi all,
The question of the precise position of EP Car came up during a previous
outburst, May 1999. As a result of an investigation, involving Brian Skiff,
Peter
Williams and myself, by private email, it was concluded that EP Car
coincides with
a USNO-A2.0 star (mb=18.5, mr=18.5) at (J2000) 10h28m24.4s -58 58'01". This
is 10"
due S of the GCVS position used in the RASNZ chart. This agrees with the visual
observations, that EP Car is almost exactly half-way between star e and f.
I think I did post this on vsnet at a later stage, but it's worth repeating now.

Regards,
/Mati
